나의 기쁨 나의 소망 되시며

나의 생명이 되신 주

O Thou, in whose presence my soul takes delight,

On whom in affliction I call,

​

밤낮 불러서 찬송을 드려도

늘 아쉰 마음뿐일세

 

My comfort by day, and my song in the night,

My hope, my salvation, my all!

​

나의 사모하는 선한 목자는

어느 꽃다운 동산에

​

Where dost Thou, dear Shepherd, resort with Thy sheep,

To feed them in pastures of love?

​

양의 무리와 늘 함께 가셔서

기쁨을 함께하실까

 

Say, why in the valley of death should I weep,

Or alone in this wilderness rove?

​

길도 없이 거친 넓은 들에서

갈 길 못 찾아 애쓰며

​

Oh! why should I wander an alien from Thee,

Or cry in the desert for bread?

​

이리저리로 헤매는 내 모양

저 원수 조롱하도다

 

Thy foes will rejoice when my sorrows they see,

And smile at the tears I have shed.

​

주의 자비롭고 화평한 얼굴

모든 천사도 반기며

​

He looks! and ten thousands of angels rejoice,

And myriads wait for His word;

​

주의 놀라운 진리의 말씀에

천지가 화답하도다

 

He speaks! and eternity, filled with His voice,

Re echoes the praise of the Lord.

나의 진정 사모하는 예수님

음성조차도 반갑고

​

Dear Shepherd! I hear, and will follow Thy call;

I know the sweet wound of Thy voice;

​

나의 생명과 나의 참 소망은

오직 주 예수뿐일세 아멘

​

Restore and defend me, for Thou art my all,

And in Thee I will ever rejoice. Amen.
