십자가에 달리신

고난의 주 봅니다

​

Throned up-on the aw-ful tree,

King of grief, I watch with Tree.

​

어둔 그늘 덮여도

우리 위해 참으신

​

Dark-ness veils Thine an-guished face:

None its lines of woe can trace:

​

그 당하신 고통을

어느 누가 알리요

​

None can tell what pangs un-known

Hold Thee si-lent and a-lone.

​

고통스런 긴 시간

인류의 죄 지시고

​

Si-lent through those three dread hours,

Wres-tling with the e-vil pow'rs,

​

하나님의 어린양

죽으시기 까지도

​

Left a-lone with hu-man sin,

Gloom a-round Thee and with-in,

​

악의 힘과 싸우며

홀로 견디셨도다

​

Till the ap-point-ed time is nigh,

Till the Lamb of God may die.

아버지여 어찌해

날 버리시나이까

​

Hark, that cry that peals a-loud

Up-ward through the whelm-ing cloud!

하늘 향해 외치고

돌아가신 구주는

​

Thou, the Fa-ther's on-ly Son,

Thou, His own a-noint-ed One,

하나님의 외아들

대속하신 주로다

​

Thou dost ask Him can it be

'Why hast Thou for-sak-en Me?'

​

주는 죄가 없어도

만민 구원하시려

​

Lord, should fear and anguish roll

Dark-ly O'er my sin-ful soul,

​

고통 당하셨으니

주여 심한 고통이

​

Thou, Who once wast thus be-reft,

That Thine own might ne'er be left,
